The Fremont Pool reopened on Monday, July 13th , 2000 to the excitement of Sunnyvale swimmers. Lap swimmers, masters swimmers, water exercisers and probably some SUNN swimmers too (if they are 18 years of age), got back in the water amid adherence to safety protocols, of course. It's one swimmer per lane (or up to two if they are members of the same household).
It seems we all got through the reservation and payment process. Everyone seemed to remember their mask. The 7-10AM and 5-8PM schedule is not usually full. We are allowed to swim for 45 minutes. The costs is $12 and some rumbling has been heard about that!
Staff has been very helpful and the website now allows you to request a ladder lane, stairs, a deep lane or a shallow lane. You have to bring all your own equipment. Mostly folks just get right to it and swim.
Until the next bend in the road, at least the pool is re-opened.
Stay safe! Enjoy the pool!
